Cantec was founded in Dubai, UAE in 2010. Following a few years working with a high tolerance flooring contractor placing super flat floors, it became clear that the market was missing the specialized tools and equipment needed to support industrial floor placement and finishing. As the demands on flooring contractors increased to be able to place larger areas with less joints and higher flatness, the equipment and systems to support that had to evolve. That started our relationship that has grown to include the most respected international brands in the concrete industry. Today we have in house trained and certified service and training technicians working from our workshop as well as mobile capabilities and in house civil engineering.
Over the past few years, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has had one major vision — to diversify the economy in order to decrease oil dependency. As a result, we have seen a year-on-year rise in demands in sectors such as infrastructure and logistics.
The GCC logistics industry is one of the main growth drivers for the EMEA region and it is expected that the government spending will further increase, whether to leverage existing free-trade zones, or construct new ones to offer a competitive edge to businesses and strengthen the logistics sector.
As the logistics network expands, sectors such as retail, e-commerce and manufacturing have all seen an extremely rapid growth. At the core of all this is warehousing, industrial facilities and factories.
Flooring for these growing industries is of critical importance to their operations. End users are demand floors which are designed and finished in a way that meets maximum operational efficiencies — all while using modern techniques, quality design standards and reducing overall construction costs.
